all in each takes its title from Knots by psychologist R.D. Laing, a poetic examination of human relationships and entanglements. In this exhibition, Atkinson furthers her exploration of the contextual nature of perception, presenting hybrid works that modulate spaces and foster a dialogue between functionality and aesthetics. Handwoven and hand-brushed blankets and rugs feature disrupted, dynamic motifs, while tapestries—built through the repetitive process of enmeshing delicate silk and cotton fibers—become studies in texture. Expanding her investigation into soft furniture, Atkinson debuts a modular chair and footstool set that transforms into a sculptural piece, negotiating the interplay between function and form.
