GRACE ATKINSON

Grace Atkinson is a textile designer and artist from New Zealand, based in Paris, France. Atkinson’s work is a study of surface, texture and scale and its relation to architecture and sensation. Committed to the preservation of ancient craft techniques, Atkinson frequently collaborates closely with artisans to create pieces that embody her interest in the expressive potency of textiles and its resonance with sensuous experience. With an interest in the contextual nature of perception, these hybrid works modulate spaces, emphasizing a synergy between functionality and aesthetics.
